May 29, 2006a marriage where the husband is not obliged to give nafkah zahir, only nafkah batin. no problems if the woman doesn't need financial support to survive the marriage. but some women activists are protesting this type of marriage. why, oh why do some people want to question what is permitted in islam? as long as the woman gives consent and no harm will be done, what's the fuss? it's a way to curb adultery, no?
